This month, we celebrate our first anniversary as part of the Gippsland Local Health Service Network (GLHSN).

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is proud to work alongside Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, Central Gippsland Health Service, Latrobe Regional Health, Omeo District Health, Orbost Regional Health, South Gippsland Hospital, and Yarram & District Health Service as part of one of Victoria’s Local Health Service Networks, bringing us together to deliver better outcomes for our communities.

Victoria’s Local Health Service Networks connect public health services to provide more coordinated, accessible and equitable care, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time. Whether it’s delivering initial treatment, coordinating care with larger or specialist services, or bringing healthcare closer to home, the Networks make our health system easier to navigate and more responsive to the needs of local communities. Throughout 2025–26, we have focused on laying strong foundations for the future, developing the GLHSN Strategic Plan 2026–2028 and Workforce Plan 2026–2028, while advancing a regional Clinical Services Plan. Together, we have also worked to expand residential in-reach services and build quality improvement capability across the network through the Safer Together Program.

This milestone reflects the commitment, collaboration and shared vision of health services across Gippsland. As we move into our second year, we look forward to building on this momentum, strengthening partnerships, and delivering even more connected and coordinated care for our communities.
