Masks return to optional in public spaces at West Gippsland Hospital

Masks have returned to optional for all public spaces at West Gippsland Hospital.

All staff and visitors are no longer required to wear a mask in shared public areas at the hospital including corridors, lifts, the main reception area and cafeteria.

Masks will still be available throughout the hospital for anyone who wants to use one, or who must put on a mask to visit patients with respiratory illnesses.

The Pandemic Management Committee will continue to monitor the risks and make changes to our approach as needed.

The safety and wellbeing of our patients, visitors and staff remains our number one priority.
