Great care NEEDS great communication. The Annual Appeal 2022 is asking for your help to fund an Eye Gaze device. This super techy device means we can communicate better with people with disability, particularly those who have a life-limiting diagnosis, such as MND. We don’t want anyone to lose valuable time not being able to communicate with loved-ones and care givers. We want to use and loan this equipment out so care-givers and medical, support personnel can communicate during critical times with our clients.

Want to make a difference in LOADS of people’s lives? A podiatry tilt is great bang-for-buck! The multi-purpose chair makes assessment and treatment more comfortable and easier for people of all ages and mobility. The Annual Appeal 2022 is asking for one – but we’ll take more if you want to fund a bunch!

Our Annual Appeal 2022 needs seven new electric paediatric cots. The cots improve the comfort, support and care for newborns to three years undergoing surgery. Help make the kiddies day a little brighter.

Imagine not being able to move – so much so that pressure sores develop on your skin. Some of our highest needs and frail patients live this daily. Specialised mattresses are essential to prevent sores, and improve comfort. Many of our mattresses are at the end of their lifespan and can’t be used safely. To help, the Annual Appeal 2022 is asking you to help fund mattresses that prevent pressure damage to a person’s skin.

West Gippsland Healthcare Group have two aged care facilities that 80+ residents call home. Lifestyle activities like group exercise, singalongs, high-teas and holiday festivities all contribute to a better quality of life. The Annual Appeal 2022 is asking for a bariatric wheelchair and power assist unit to help us safely transfer residents to and from these activities. We are asking for one to be shared – but we’d really love two so no one missing out on the fun!

Did you know that our Community Health team supports women, children and families’ experiencing family violence? The Annual Appeal 2022 is asking for your support to fund 3+ arts and crafts packs. Your support means we can install blackboards and supply other crafting goodies in our counselling rooms.

Scales help us understand how to care for a person - everything from nutrition to medication is informed by your weight. When someone has mobility restrictions the digital weight scales allow our staff to safely weigh a patient or resident in the chair. Our current scales need to be replaced urgently. You can help today!

Did you know that it can take over an hour to resuscitate someone after a cardiac event? The Annual Appeal 2022 wants your support to fund a Corplus CPR machine that can automatically apply chest compressions over lengthy resuscitation events, keeping blood flowing to the brain throughout and allowing better patient outcomes.
