  GRADUATE NURSE PROGRAM
 

Graduate Nurses are an essential part of our healthcare team. Each Graduate is provided opportunities to build new relationships and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and to strengthen their ability to deal with uncertainty.

The aim of the CGHS Graduate Nurse Program is to:

·         Develop confident, reflective individuals who can work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. 

·         To support our Graduate Nurses so that they enjoy coming to work and are enriched by their experiences.

What Does Our Graduate Progam Include? 

  • ·         A Graduate Nurse Coordinator designated to the wellbeing and success of graduate nurses at Central Gippsland Health Service
  • ·         A full time 52-week supported program
  • ·         6 weeks paid annual leave
  • ·         A rostered Accrued day off(ADO) each month
  • ·         An extensive hospital orientation
  • ·         Preceptorship support
  • ·         Three rotations through various clinical areas
  • ·         Paid supernumerary days in each rotation
  • ·         Paid study days
  • ·         Free uniforms
  • ·         A certificate and badge upon completion of the program
  • ·         Free car parking
  • ·         Salary packaging
  • ·         The opportunity to join an active social club
     

How Do I Apply For The Graduate Nurse Program At CGHS?

At CGHS we have offer a personalised approach in supporting our graduates as we only take one small cohort of Graduate Nurses in a February intake each year.

·       Complete the CGHS application on line at www.cghs.com.au and upload the following documentation: Curriculum Vitae of no more than three pages that includes names and contact details of three (3) final year clinical referees – phone numbers (including mobile), postal addresses, and email addresses.

 

·         Official transcript of academic results to date with key of results code.

 

·         A handwritten letter describing why you wish to take part in the CGHS Graduate Program.

 

·        Two certified Clinical Appraisals (preferably third year or final year of study) - excluding psychiatric placements.

 

·         Two passport size photos.
