Jan Child

Jan is an experienced senior executive with more than 30 years experience in Public Health.  She is a Registered Nurse and holds an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor Nursing post at Monash University. 

She has a Graduate Diploma Behavioural Sciences (Drug Dependence); Masters in Public Health and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  She is also a surveyor for the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards.

Associate Professor Bruce Philip Waxman OAM

BMedSci MBBS FRACS FRCS FACS AFRACMA MAICD

Professor Waxman is an honours medical graduate of Monash University and completed his general and colorectal surgery training in Melbourne, London, the north of England and Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He has been in consultant surgical practice, both in public and private, for 30 years, 20 years of which as Associate Professor, Monash University.  He had stints as Clinical Sub Dean, managing medical students at Monash University, Director of General Surgery & Colorectal Surgery at Monash Health, and the Director of the Academic Surgical Unit - at Dandenong Hospital in the Southern Clinical School, Monash University with clinical, administrative and teaching duties.

He has been committed to maintaining high surgical standards as councilor and member of many committees with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and councilor and now honorary life member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand.  He retired from surgical practice in 2014 and transitioned to medical administration as Director of Medical Services with HealtheCare at The Valley Private Hospital, locum at Bass Coast Health and more recently Epworth Healthcare at Epworth Richmond with an emphasis on Clinical Governance, simultaneously becoming a surveyor with the Australian Council on Health Care Standards (ACHS).

Noni Bourke

BAppSc (Speech Pathology), Grad Cert Gerontology, Grad Cert Health Professional Education, Diploma Project Management, Masters Health Services Management

  

Noni has 25 years’ experience in public health having worked as a Speech Pathologist and within Quality across acute, sub-acute, aged and community health services. She has worked in clinical and leadership roles in metropolitan and rural and remote health services and joined Bass Coast Health in May 2016.

Paul Greenhalgh

Ba Nsg, RN, Dip. Business Management, Grad Cert Health Promotion

Paul has 25 years’ experience in Public Health, having worked as a Registered Nurse in acute, sub-acute, aged and community health settings. He has also been associated with Primary Health Care Organisations and has leadership and management experience in both Rural and Metro Hospitals, as well as Community Health.

Louise Sparkes

Lou Sparkes is a Registered Nurse with a number of post graduate qualifications in Nursing Management. Lou brings 25 years’ experience both in health care service provision and Academia, and was appointed to the role of Executive Director of Access and Emergency Services in October 2016. She has responsibility for leading Emergency Services, Learning and Development and Clinical Operations (Access, Patient Flow and Health Service Coordination).
   
 

Chief Financial Officer / Chief Procurement Officer

Shaun Brooks

Ba Com, Grad. Dip.CA 

Shaun has significant expertise and experience in financial accounting for Health Services, having been the Deputy Director of Finance at Peninsula Health for five years and before this a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton (formerly BDO), an accounting firm in Melbourne where Shaun managed the audit and financial reporting responsibilities for large and highly accountable finance functions.
